How to Manage Your Emotions to Make Money

So many people fail to even make a dime on the internet. The reason we don’t make money is that unless we manage our emotions, we will experience set back after set back. You might be familiar with the roller coaster effect. The roller coaster effect is deadly for many would be and wanna be online entrepreneurs.

It gets us high on a particular income stream. We absorb all the information on how to make money with this stream. Then we go about creating avenues to make money with this stream. Only to give up half way through because of a set back we experienced.

So here we are, up and down like the ebb and flow of the ocean trying to make money on the internet, only to find ourselves in another hole and doubting the whole process of the actual possibility of creating a money making income stream.

In order to take control of our business we need to be aware of the following potential hurdles. If we manage those hurdles, it will become easier to make money on the internet:

  1. Don’t get discouraged by the word “no”. No’s are simply needed in order for us to grow. The most successful marketers are the ones who heard the most “no’s”. If you let a “no” discourage you, then you will experience a major fall back. You will find yourself trying to pick up the pieces and not advancing in your business instead.

  2. Frustration happens to all of us. Just recently I tried to upload my new web pages to the server. I experienced many frustrating moments. I had two choices. I could just give up and demolish my computer for good – or I could persist, ride through my frustration and eventually solve the problem. As you might guess, I choose the second option ;-) Also receiving a “no” that turns into frustration doesn’t always mean it is a “no” for good. Situation change and the “no” today might be a “yes” tomorrow.

  3. Discouragement is a slow killer of your business. When you get frustrated and let those “no’s” get to you, you get discouraged. You business will become a drag more than an enjoyment and you start to operate on autopilot. It can even lead to a frozen state of fear. Fear of acting in order not to receive another “no”. Don’t fall prey to this slow killer of earning money. Start to expect “no’s” as part of your growth. It will make it easier to deal with.

  4. Not keeping to a strict routine. Yes I know routine sucks. I hate any form of routine with a passion. But I had to learn the heard way. Until I started to take action on a daily basis and sticking to some form of routine, I found myself falling prey to becoming stagnant. Stagnancy happens, when we let negativity and “no’s” affect us to the extent of just doing nothing. But then we can always kid ourselves that we spent 12 hours on the computer running our business. Did we really?

  5. If you let all the above affect you without trying to master your fears eventually you will just give up. Giving up is simply the end. If you want to make money on the internet – don’t give up!
