Online Business Mod Cons

Posted by Monika in Freelance Writing-Bl... | 04.20.2007 - 4:26 pm

What do we need to successfully run our online business? Mod cons that make our day to day runnings easier to deal with. For starters, we do need a reliable computer preferably running with high speed internet access. Broadband or high speed internet makes it so much easier to work with the internet. It will save you tons of time and many hours of frustration. If you are still on dial up and have no chances of getting a high speed internet connection you need to make sure, that you safe your work often. As you are probably aware, you frequently loose your internet connection and it always happens, when you are in the middle of something.

Below are a few essential items we find we can’t be without to run our online business:

  • Reliable computer
  • High speed internet
  • Good filing system both off line and online
  • Merchant account if you accept credit cards/PayPal is also very good
  • A very reliable email client (comes with good web hosting)
  • Web hosting (we like HostGator)
  • An Autoresponder
  • Good rates for your internet connection
  • Software that make our daily tasks easier
  • A good circle of experienced online marketers ( Preferably people who have more experience than you) we call them our power group. These individuals can be a great source of help and preferably you will have to trust them.
  • A diary ( use this to note everything business related)
  • Keep all business related information in a separate file as most will be tax deductible. Try to update the file on a regular basis - like monthly.
  • A good domain registrar like GoDaddy

All these suggestions are invaluable for the day to day runnings of our business. We are sure that if you put your mind to it, you might come up with some extras.
