100 Articles in One Month – My Journey

Posted by Monika in Freelance Writing Ar... | 06.29.2007 - 11:28 pm

I wanted to make this article number 100 special to me. Having been writing madly for one month wasn’t always easy. That’s why I figured it might be interesting for others to read about my struggles, my victories and my challenges this month. It was an interesting time and having managed to hold my promise to myself feels like winning the lottery. Probably even better (I never won the lottery, so I’m not sure)

Posted by Monika in Freelance Writing Ar... | 06.29.2007 - 10:52 pm

Are you happy with your business? Do you feel fulfilled at the end of each day, knowing that you did the best you possibly could? Or do you agonize over actions not taken, decisions not made or money not earned? You know, the sad truth is that most business owners don’t have fulfillment in their business. They end most days regretting what they haven’t done and are not having any fun along the way. Maybe this is also a reason why some quit their business eventually. If we are not fulfilled in our business, it isn’t worth doing, is it?

When I visit online forums people always ask whether it is worth to blog. My answer would be you bet it is! Investing your time into blogging is not only worth it, it is in my eyes an essential addition to any online business. Those who realized this started to blog years ago. Others such as me are a bit slower and only started recently. But it is never too late to invest time into blogging. With today’s web 2.0 blogging is more and more the driving force behind online business practice. Blogs are also responsible for the best search engine rankings because of their structure. Those that do invest their time into blogging know this.

Posted by Monika in Freelance Writing Ar... | 06.29.2007 - 9:48 pm

Promoting our online business is really the means to an end. If we fail to do this, we won’t have any traffic to our webs sites and therefore no sales. If we haven’t got any sales it means we won’t have income and not having an income is the beginning of the end. To promote your online business effectively means you will need to be serious about it. It requires either time or money to do this. Often it requires both. If you are new to the online business game, you probably won’t have much money. That isn’t a problem, as there are many ways you can use to promote your online business effectively.

Develop a Writing Routine

Posted by Monika in Freelance Writing Ar... | 06.29.2007 - 7:29 pm

Being a writer myself the hardest thing I struggle with is to develop a writing routine. I admit since doing it for 3 month and a bit now I find it increasingly easier. But there are still days when I just can’t deliver. My aim is to write 3 articles/ day and this month is actually the first months I managed to do this. Thanks to Dr Mani and his “Infopreneur Challenge”. I have to admit that this challenge was the best way to get me kick started in the right direction to develop a writing routine for myself.
