100 Articles in One Month – My Journey

I wanted to make this article number 100 special to me. Having been writing madly for one month wasn’t always easy. That’s why I figured it might be interesting for others to read about my struggles, my victories and my challenges this month. It was an interesting time and having managed to hold my promise to myself feels like winning the lottery. Probably even better (I never won the lottery, so I’m not sure)

When I first came across Dr Mani’s idea on the warrior forum I thought it was crazy, but do able. It really depends on the individual I guess and whether we are ready to make such a commitment. The commitment I made is for me only. I had to prove that I can do this even though it was very hard at times. I saw the offer on the 6th June and got busy right away. I knew that I had to push through his as June held some events that couldn’t be put off. First, there was a visit from my sister and her husband. They stayed for 4 days and having family nearby makes it near impossible to stay on track with the best of intentions.

Being at the computer for 10 hours on certain days didn’t make it any easier. It would have been very easy to just give up, but I’m stubborn so I kept going. I also figured that having the exposure can only mean positive things for my web site and my blog. And today this has paid off with one of the top marketers leaving a comment on my blog. This guy earns millions but nonetheless he stopped by and left a positive comment. That certainly means a lot to me, especially since my blog post reflected a topic on his area of skills.

I tried to split my articles between my article page on my web site and my blog. I only hope Google won’t have a heart attack due to over frequent posting and uploading. I certainly am looking in anticipation toward Google’s scheduled page ranking exercise this month.

Then there was my 40th birthday. Yep, I have joined the club. I am now officially 4o year’s young and getting younger every day. So naturally I lost a couple of days because of heavy party action.

To cap it all off it now looks like I’m coming down with the flu. I felt like crap today and still had 10 articles to write. But pushing through and seeing the light at the end of the tunnel made it worth wile every step of the way. Besides all those minor hiccups I’m actually also working part time in a JOB. Thank god that I was able to scam some extra days off. Without them I’d be lost. Thanks go to my lovely husband John for this.

I learned a lot from my 100 article month. Probably the most important thing I did learn is that I can do whatever I commit myself to doing! Also the fact that my writing seems to just flow makes it absolute certain that it is my calling to write. I simply love it. I also learned that support from others helped me to do a little bit more every day. Whether this is from my husband or my online business friends, it really doesn’t matter. What matters is that – I made it. Wooohooo….Thanks to everybody who inspired me along the way!

    Hi,

Very well done and congratulations. I enjoyed reading the story of your journey.

I did think at the start that I “might” make 100, but my definate goal was 50, which I’ve achieved so I’m also very pleased.

Thanks again to Dr Mani for making this happen.

    Steven

Congratulations on making it through to 100 articles! I am impressed. I am in the challenge also, but only made it to number 58. Its been an interesting event, I must say. Best, June

    June and Steven,

I have been following your progress as well on the infopreneur site. I will have to go back and read more in debt of what everybody wrote about. There is a lot of great content there.
Thanks for your great comments too. You both have done an excellent job as well getting so far ahead.
I wish you all the very best
    Monika :-)

Congratulations on making the 100 Monika. That is some mean feat – I wish I had your determination. I think you even out-wrote the prolific SW this month!!!

  5. Shafir Ahmad | Jul 2, 2007 | Reply

    Congratulations Monika,

I admire your courage and determination to get to your 100 articles.

I wrote 15 this month, which is more than I’ve ever written in 1 month, so I’ll just keep going and do more and more every month.

Keep it up ( and set your mind to do it! )

    Thanks Terry,

That’s a compliment out writing SW. :-) Was a great experience.

    Shafir,

Thanks you for the nice words. 15 articles a months isn’t bad you know and if you build on it, you will eventually get there too. :-)

    Congrats Monika!

I would rather watch 100 movies than writing 100 articles. That shows that you will become a great writer but not me.

Great to hear you are getting support from your hubby.. I get full support spirituality and mentally from my girl and I would say that is the only thing that drives me on other than money and lots of freedom. =)

Great to see your site growing bigger and better each time. Keep up the good work my friend.

Send regards to the family too.

    Good Friend

    Latina,

    Thank you for your visit.

    Erwin,

Coming from you my friend I take this as a great compliment. :-) I agree that practice makes perfect, even though I would never claim to be a perfect writer, no matter how good people say I am. But the love of writing and the knowledge about the subjects help me to stay motivated with ease.

    Thank you
    Monika

    Hey Monika,

Good job with the 100 posts. I missed out on it, so I challenged myself. Grizzy suggested I check out your blog the other day and low and behold!…It’s the same blogger that motivated me to do 100! It’s a small world. Also, I gave you linklove in post 1 of 100. Great blog, keep up the nice work!

    Hey Sean,
Cheers for that, it is indeed a small world. :-) Monika
