In the last article we looked at writing your first ebook. But what happens next? What do you with your ebook, once it is written? I suppose you would agree with me when I say you want to be able to make money with it. Or maybe, you have written your first ebook to get more traffic to your website by making it free but viral? It doesn’t matter what you choose to do, but I’m sure you will want to be able to package your ebook so it looks respectable? Am I right?

Most people write their ebooks in a word document. But because of internet securities we will need to transform this word document into a PDF file. PDF’s are easy to distribute over the internet and they are the most common used form of distribution. If the ebook is a large file you need to deliver it via a zip file. This can be done with specific software such as “stuff it”. “Stuff it” allow you to zip files to reduce their size. I’m sure there are free software programs available that help you do this. To change your word document into a PDF I recommend you use open office. You can get this for free by going to Open Office It will allow you to change any word documents into PDF with the click of a mouse. And the beauty is that it is a free program.
Before you attempt do this, double check your ebook for spelling mistakes and grammar.

So now you have a shiny new ebook in PDF format ready for distribution. What next? Have you thought about packaging or graphics maybe? Depending on where you intend to sell, give away your ebook you might want some fancy cover with title and some nice graphics. Having visual appeal certainly helps with selling any ebook. But if you are just giving it away for viral purposes you might not want to bother with this.
There are virtually hundreds of software programs out there to do this. Some are free (but will ad advertisements to your graphics) and others cost money. I recommend you do a Google search to find something suitable to your needs. Alternatively you may take a look at what I found useful for me Copy and Paste Graphics. It only cost me $10 and has given me everything I possible need for an ebook plus much more.

Assuming you are ready to rock’n’roll all you have to do now is to find places where you can sell your newly created ebook. Congratulations! You made it. Was it really this hard? I bet you are already rearing with ideas to create another ebook to package and sell.
