Driveaway - Online File Sharing

Posted by Monika in Reviews, ... | 07.05.2007 - 1:45 pm

Now here is a nifty way to share your files with others via this file sharing website. DriveAway offers a service to those in the need to transfer larger files of any kind to others. The problem we have by trying to share files like photos, music, video and more with friends, business partners or family, is that we can only attach around 10MB of files size to any one email. Depending on your email provider this can mean multiple emails sent on the same topic, not to mention the hassle of having it to do this way.

DriveAway allows us to conveniently share our files up to 500MB with anybody online. How does it work? You go to their website - upload your files - they get parked on the DriveAway website for free (no registration is required. All they need is your email address and the email of the person(s) you’d like to share your files with. This other person will then receive an email telling him of the files waiting to be downloaded. All he needs to do is visit that link and download those files. Sounds easy enough! Just thinking about the possibilities such as sending manuscripts to others for proofreading and more…
