Alexa Up Another Notch!

Posted by Monika in Alexa, ... | 07.12.2007 - 10:38 pm

For those of you who are familiar with Alexa, my site has gone up by 100,000 in the last week or so. Currently the site is ranked 392,056. This is awesome news for me as I never had a site ranked that high. On my last check I was ranking below 100,000 in all major countries except the USA. If the rankings keep rising like this, I’ll be below 100,000 in 2 months time.

For those of you who might wonder what I have done to get here, below are some activities I do:

    1. Frequent posting in 5 forums
      Downloaded the Alexa “ranking widget”
      Participate in MyBlogLog
Blog and Ping as soon as the blog is updated
      Regularly update blog and website
  • Naturally there are many things one can implement to get a steady flow of visitors to the website. My website traffic has doubled every months since May and on the last count last week I had over 25,000 hits this months already. This works out to around 30+ actual visitors per day which is rising steadily. So far I am quite happy with this amount of traffic. I realize that with increasing action and online advertising this will only grow. It’s just a matter of time.

Great news, Monika! That Alexa ranking is a good indicator that you are getting more visitors to your site. Hope it keeps increasing!
