Favicons are those nifty looking icons that hover in front of URL’s in Internet browsers. It’s kind of funny as I always wondered how some sites had groovy looking icons and others didn’t. I wasn’t aware that one can actually create a favicon from any picture that sits on your hard drive. provided it doesn’t overstep a certain size. I am wanting to create my own for this blog, but haven’t managed to find a picture I like.
I’m toying with a pic of myself, not because I like looking at myself so much, but because I think that it projects my identity into my business and to my readers. To see the creation process of favicons and maybe have a go at it yourself, head over to Favicon creation site. Before we know it, cool little favicons will pop up everywhere as a norm - until some geek invents the next hottest tool.
