Long tail keywords are the secret in niche marketing. What really is niche marketing? It is finding a suitable niche that isn’t as heavily used as a top keyword niches such as golf, car, work from home. To find these gems, it will require some research with a keyword tool such as the VreToolBar. To do this, you need to start by typing a general keyword as the ones mentioned before into your keyword tool. It will then return many searches with other related keywords. This is where you need to pay particular attention as here is where you might find those keyword gems that will open up a profitable niche. The long tail keyword is what we are looking for.
But what is a long tail keyword you might ask? It is a keyword that contains at least around 4 words. In the case of the golf niche, to find a related long tail keyword we will have to type golf into our tool. By returning related words, we might see something like “golfing in the Bermudas”. This could well be a top niche you just discovered. Provided it hasn’t been already sucked dry by other crafty marketers before you. So how would you know this? Well, to find out you need to head over to Google and type this long tail keyword into Google search. The secret to doing this right is to type the word into quotes “”. Why - because it is the quotes that allow you to see the related sites that compete already with this long tail keyword. If you find one that has between 1,000 and 10,000 searches/month, then you have found a great long tail keyword and my advice to you would be to grab this opportunity by the horns and run with it.

Long Tail Keywords…
The secret of long tail keywords have long been known to be the essence of a successful niche marketer….
Wow. I just read your other post on long tail keywords and I came across this.
Well I honestly have no friggin idea that quotes actually matter! :O
I tried the same long tail keyword that had like millins of competing sites, added the quotes, and it came down to about 1000+! Wow.
The infomation gets better as I click along the site!
Hi Jasa,
Yes, I learned this, since it narrows the keyword down to targeted searches. Its what people type in when they search for it and all the results without “quotes” will fake the search results.
