Ok, as you can see from the above graphics I’m getting an ever increasing amount of traffic here. The blog is barely into it’s 6 month by now and things are going great. With around 675 page views per day and 340 unique visitors I’m actually very happy with my progress. My overall target is to be free of my part time J-O-B by July 2008. So far I’m on track with this. Below is a detailed listing of my income from last month. I hope that for those of you who don’t earn any money yet that you will be inspired by this and see that consistency can pay.

I have been quite slack regarding my blog posting for 3rd party advertisers, but this was also done purposely. Also note that the Adsense income is from my second blog Make Money. I know it isn’t much, but it is a start. If you would like your own site like the mentioned, then head over and click on the link below my picture. It is free BTW.

Last month’s focus for me was on getting freelance jobs. My aim is to get regular freelance writing jobs, either blogging or writing and the more of those I can qualify for, the better my income will be. So here it goes.

August 2007 Income

$ 75.56 Affiliate Programs

$ 15.00 Pay Per Post

$ 82.35 Freelance Writing Assignement ( 100 A$)

$ 280.00 Freelance Blogging

$ 1.66 Squidoo lenses

$ 0.40 Cash Crate ( GPT)

$ 2.58 Adsense

$ 461.55 Total earnings in August 2007

Wishing you Success

Monika

    That averages to 11 visitors a day. I don’t know many people that are happy with 11 visitors a day. I’m guessing that most of your income is offsite and getting traffic to this blog for income is just extra.

    I made $150 with PPP last month, they have a very cool program. I think their new system will cause a downfall of thier business model, but we will have to wait and see.

    Best of luck on your goal.

    Congratulations on your income and traffic! You’re doing great! Was your freelance blogging income generated directly from this blog, or from somewhere else?

    Michael,
    I certainly wouldn’t be happy with just 11 visitors a day. :-) If you look closely you will see that I have 340 visitors a day.

    Thanks anyway

    John, cheers for that,

    My freelancing income was from off site work. However, this site is my ID for now and when I have prospective clients I send them to this page for my writing samples.
    Because of this site I got those freelancing jobs in the first place.

    I am still in the process to set up my own site. On there I will post some unique articles and my profile. Kind of creating my INC.

    Yes, I’m very happy with my progress so far. Things are looking great.

    Thank you for your lovely comment, I really do appreciate it.
    Monika ;-)

    Monika,

    Congrats – those are great stats. You just keep plugging away and you will reach that goal.

    For me, looking at stats can be a pick me up. I look at where I started and where they are now and think WOW – I am writing this for someone…

    You go girl! :D

    Monika, those are great stats.

    You’re well ahead of me there – The honest Way only averaged 233 unique visits a day for last month.

    Your alexa has also improved I just noticed – on that you’re catching me up! Hopefully we should both see some PR love from Google soon then we’ll both start earning much more from the likes of PPP as advertisers pay more for higher ranking blogs.

    As for going wide, I dunno – I started out with a wide site but then opted for narrow as I think it focuses readers to the center of the page more and you’re less tempted to fill up all that extra white space with more flashing confusing banner ads etc. I find reading full width sites more hard going too – something to do with the newspaper/magazine philosophy of using narrow columns being easier for people to read because their eyes don’t have to scan long lines.

    But that’s just my take on things.

    Well done!!!

    - Terry ;)

    Hi,

    You are doing greate.. and since you are using Squidoo to earn income, you should use it to generate traffic to your blog.
