Writers Manifesto Weekly Ink Link Love

Posted by Monika in Freelance Writing Bl... | 09.08.2007 - 12:54 pm

Another week has passed. It was a very exciting week for myself as I picked up another freelance job that looks promising for the future. I suppose I can only try to give my best at all times and take it from there. Further to this I also received a link request from my blog which indicates that I’m on the right track. Blogging is my passion and I spend most of my days writing. If you don’t see me, it is because I’m still slaving away in a professional kitchen for about 30 hours a week. (Give or take)

I really can’t wait for that to stop altogether and will consistently work toward this goal. My new website project have been put on the back burner. As you might know I’m in the process of setting up my domain name Monika Mundell. I uploaded a template, but might change it again. The reason for this domain is to have an online CV for prospective clients. So when somebody asks me for examples of my writing, instead of sending them just to my blog, they will be able to also see some feedback from past clients and examples of my writing style. My target would be to have this site up and running by the end of the month.

I’m also toying with the idea of changing this sites template as I really like the wider templates. I also do believe that they are easier on the eye for visitors. What do you think?

Without further ado here are my weekly top commenter’s:

Heather is well on track with her monthly goal of doubling her subscribers base.

With her current Group Writing Project, Sarah is busy getting more entries. I am lacking behind with this one due to time restrictions but am planning to enter over the weekend too.

Terry is simply a great friend besides being a top wizard with coding. Our sites keep growing together alongside each other and I look forward to see us succeed in the future beyond our wildest dreams.

Some ingenious creation was conceived by John giving his RSS readers a little bonus. (Anyway, those who found it..) What a fantastic idea.

I am constantly amazed by you guys. It is people like you that inspire me every day in the belief that great things can be conceived and achieved. Thank you for finding the time to comment on my blog.

Sounds like you are doing great on the right path. I have a separate portfolio also for just my past work and examples, I think it is a great idea in addition to your blog.

As for the wider layouts, I think now that screen size resolutions are larger you can probably move up and have more space for stuff! :c) We all gotta have stuff in our sidebars.

There is plenty of time to enter into the group writing project - till Sept 18th and I look forward to your entry. Thanks for the link love too!

Thanks for saying such nice things about me. I’m sure I’m not so much of a coding wizard, more like the wizard’s apprentice :-)!!!

Thank you Sarah and Terry

You are both very welcome.

Monika
PS: Terry well, if you are the wizards apprentice, then I would be the apprentices apprentice ;-)
