Squidoo – Build a Lens and Cash In

Squidoo is a great way to cash in and make money with. I must admit that I had some really high ranking lenses and I neglected them all due to time pressures. I earned affiliate income with them within the first month of building them. The secret to keeping up with Squidoo lenses these days is to update them every day. Or at least every other day. See, for any site to rank high consistently we need to keep updating it. especially if we dabble in the very competitive markets of IM.

The less competitive the niche is, the higher the actual chance of riding high on Google. Google will rank any sites high first for their long tails. After time spent on writing great posts and content, the chances of getting a consistent high ranking will improve. But this happens only if the site is optimized with meta tags and keywords. The site title has to be in order with the keywords we target, and as a real bonus the URL needs to contain the keyword.

Naturally there is much more we can do to feature high in organic Google search rankings. But above mentioned is a start and should get you on your way. One of the biggest mistakes beginners make when they first start out is to not plan ahead. I made the same mistake myself and it probably cost me dearly in lost income. Get a good idea of what niche and keywords you are targeting first. It really pays to do the research beforehand.

Just see it this way, if you want to take a trip, do you plan it beforehand and then pack your bags according to the final destination? Sure you do, except maybe the real adventures. The same applies to your Internet business. Plan your journey by doing the necessary research. You will find that you can save a lot of frustration later on down the road. I know that I could have done too.
