Writers Manifesto Change of Theme
Ok after weeks of hunting down the perfect word press theme for this site I have finally found what I want. I can honestly tell you that it wasn’t easy. I had a few pointers in mind and wanted to make sure that I had these covered. Besides that, I didn’t want a theme that every other Tom, Dick and Harry got. No offense, but I’m trying to set my blog‘s theme apart from the masses. Kind of like branding..he he…
I must have seriously looked at 100′s of great themes but each one lacked something and when I finally found two themes that i really loved I decide that I wanted some of this – and some of that of both incorporated into one. What I have come up is the end result that can be seen here shortly. Either today or tomorrow. I’m also getting a logo designed that will fit with the theme. It might not be there from the beginning but hey, after waiting that long in anticipation I think I can wait for a logo.
Therefore I hereby apologize if you come here when the change over happens. It will stuff up the sidebar alright and I’ll have to restyle the whole thing from scratch. If things look a bit funny while you are here, then it is because I’m twiddling in the back office. Please be patient and don’t forget to let me know, what you think of the new facade when it’s here.
I’m so excited I probably won’t sleep tonight
Thanks
Monika

That’s a great idea – I’ve been toying with changing my theme for a while now too.
As you said, putting all the custom bits back in the sidebar and all the other stuff you’ve put in over time will take ages and some of the nice functionality you’ve become used to will probably be lost.
But it’s all in a good cause! Good luck

Thanks Terry,
I just happened to catch a cold and feel pretty iffy today. So much so that my plans of changing this have been ruined for today.
Oh well, tomorrow is another day.

Hope you’re feeling better now, Monika – what happens when others starting copping your theme after it’s out? Heh. Looking forward to it (the new theme – not the copping!)

Your new theme is exquisite and the best I have ever seen anywhere on the internet. This new theme puts you in a league all by yourself. Tom…and if this is the new you, John may need to start working out to keep up with his newly styled babe.
Good on ya for this magnificent effort. You do know a thing or two, don’t you.
Now take care so we can keep you around and hopping.

You’ve got me. I don’t know where Tom came from in my comment above. Oh, yes I do. I had started to make a smart-aleck comment about Tom, Dick, and Harry. I guess my eraser must have gotten stuck before I got it all erased.

@ Lawrence: I just sent you an email response to yours as well. Thank you for thinking of me and praying for my well being. It seems you ended up on one of my old posts from last year when I did change the theme to the last look I had.
Nevertheless, it is great to see you are still around. Is your site down? I noticed it comes up with an index only?

Hum, the site I landed on was the one with the gorgeous black header with white and red Freelance Writing header and the RSS guy writing with his pen on the RSS icon tablet, complimented with that big red subordinate header that rolls over time and again to show what’s up at the moment on The Writer’s Manifesto site. I think I was at the right place, but…who knows.
You will have just received an email that explains about my missing site–I purposely took it down–and other matters of interest.

@ Lawrence: LOL, it’s ok. You did land on the right site, it’s just that there are more recent posts. If you look at the date next to your name you know what I mean.
Either way, it’s great to see you around anyway.
