As my regulars know here, I’m a self discovered passionate freelance writer and blogger. I see daily how many people struggle to make a cent online and thought of ways to provide you with some information on where I find the chunk of my work. This last two month have really been great for me as a freelancer as they have kept me very busy. Besides blogging I slowly but surely manage to grow my online income and I’m very happy with the process. This just goes to show, that anybody can do this if I can.
Now here is the thing many don’t know, I’m not an English speaking native. My mother tongue is Swiss German, but for some reason I get a lot of compliments about my ability to write very well. Naturally this is my intention and the fact that I read hundreds of books in my life might help. But then the other part is sheer practice.
I truly believe that by writing every day I consistently sharpen my skills and those who have and are currently employing me as a writer are all very happy indeed. That surely means a lot to me as it shows that I’m on the right track.
But where do I get my work? The first freelance job came to me while surfing the web to find some sites that allow me to bid for projects. I found Scriptlance and nearly didn’t join as I initially thought it was for programmers only. But upon closer inspection I saw many writing jobs advertised. So I signed up, bid and won my very first bid. It was that easy - some might call it beginners luck, which might have been. I actually believe that it was the fact of being different in my approach that did it for me.
I then finally set up my domain name (self branding) and even though it is still lacking sample content I got found by an employer in UK and am now writing for him too.
So if you are a writer that needs some funds, then get busy, bid for projects on places like Scriptlance, set up your own domain if you haven’t already done so and be confident in the knowledge that you will get work if you just persist.
I would love to hear from you on where you make your money online.
Thanks
Monika

Freelance Writing Jobs…
Freelance writers can easily make money by bidding on projects online. See how it can be done and how it is possible to get noticed….
That’s a great idea - you’re getting like me by giving away all your secrets!
I’ve looked at scriptlance but so far haven’t had the time to really get my teeth into it. They send an email with new opportunities each day, so I really have no excuse for not getting more involved - so that’s my next task to get going on!
Terry
LOL Terry,
I figure that the pond is really big enough and that my generous sharing will come back to me one day in form of oodles of goodness.
Anyway, I’m glad you like it and yes, get that butt moving toward Scriptlance.
Monika
These types of jobs sound great. I will be looking into a few because I really love to write. Thanks for the post.
Donald,
You are welcome, check out my website too under the money making page as I have other services listed that pay. Especially Pay Per Post is great.
Thank you for your comment and I’d love to hear from you once you find another site that makes you money as a writer.
Kind regards
Monika

Glad I found this site - I write for other writers and it’s great- but I need to find more writers willing to welcome another writer on board.
Carol: thank you, if you are interested in writing here as a guest blogger, you are welcome to contact me through the contact page.
Dear Monica
You certainly have a way with words considering
you were born in another country! I found many of
your posts quite interesting.
We may be of help to one another. As a minister first, then copywriter, web writer and content manager, I have had success in establishing a
Bible study website that averages between 15,000
to 20,000 visitors a month. Its name is “Writings Of
The Holy Spirit” (Beacon Of Truth) itis a huge site
consisting of nearly 300 pages of sermons, articles
of faith, Christian Poetry. The URL is:
http://www.truth-witness.com
Concerning your post about how to make money online
I have found copywriting and writing for the Web
very rewarding. If you have a webpage that “sells”
or asks visitors for their email address to join
a newsletter, I am sure you know this is called a squeeze page. If you wish, I could write you a
sales page or a “call to action” page in exchange for your testimony about its performance. If you ever have people who need ANY type of advertising
copy ask you for a referral, I would like to have
you send them here: http://www.AAAWebcopyServices.com
By the same token, I can send you referrals as well.
Why not have me look at your business page “if you
have one” and give you a free assesment?
I very much like writing any kind of copy that sells
and have completed two AWAI copywriting courses.
“Accelerated Program For Six Figure Copywriting”
as well as “The Masters Program For Six Figure
Copywriting”.
I make you this offer because no matter how well
one can write fantastic copy that sells, everyone
who does so needs customer testimony to post on their site.
Drop me a line, and include your URL if you have a sales page. If you have not a website that sells
you may consider putting one up, even if you just wish to sell other peoples products. I perceive that
you have quite an audience and this can be used to
generate you some extra income!
Check out my copywriting page which is listed above
and consider sending me some clients whom need such
and I will do as I have stated above for you.
This could only be a win-win prospect for both of us. Sincerely, Stephen Monday
@ Stephen: phew, I’m rather touched by your generosity. I will send you an email and maybe we can come to some kind of agreement. Obviously that depends on what you think about my site’s copy anyway.
Please keep an eye out for my email and we’ll take it from there.
Thank you for this really nice offer.
