Monthly Income Overview for September 2007

It’s time for another update. Last month was great with my blog getting over 400 actual visitors per day up from about 340 last month. The total amount of hits nearly doubling since the month before. Working with Terry who in my eyes is one of the best freelance writers is fun and exciting.

This is really great and I am still very happy with my blogs overall growth. I have also been very busy last month with writing. I have now two freelance jobs. One as a blogger and the other as a personal assistant/writer. They are not full time work and therefore allow me to freelance for others as well as keeping up with my various blogs.

My new JV venture with my friend Terry Didcott on Blogging Web 2.0 has already received over 79,000 hits within a few weeks. This is huge as compared to my blog here it is the same in its very first month!

On the income front my earnings have gone up from last month which is great. The biggest portion accounts for my freelance writing and is moving along nicely. I also got a job through my self branded website last month and I’m really chuffed about this as the site is relatively new. Monika Mundell.com is my portal to showcase what I have and also my experience and I recommend anybody to do the same if they are looking to make money as a freelancer!

I’m a bit disappointed about the lack of time I had lately to upgrade to my new theme. It is ready but needs about a day invested on my behalf to update all the links, sidebar, etc. So for anybody waiting for the new look, please be patient. I think it will be worthwhile. :-)

peged-dollar-bills.jpgSo without further ado here is my statement for September 2007:

$ 30.61 Affiliate income

$ 320.- Blogging

$ 15.- Pay Per Post

$ 410.- Freelancing

$ 0.07 Squidoo

$ 0.32 Income from Bidvertiser

—————————-

$ 776.00 Total income for September 2007
=======

I hope this is helpful to some of you and inspiring enough to keep going. Just remember that it does take work but as long as you enjoy and love what you do, it will be well worth it.

Happy blogging and to combined success

Monika

    Great job! I should really try out some of those paid review things too. Maybe that would fill in some of my blank days. I’ve always been bad a freelancing, I am just not a deadline kind of person. Glad it is working out for you!

    Thank you Sarah,

    Yes, if you are looking for the paid reviews then Pay per Post is the best one by far.

    For those that wonder whether I can say this – I can. John is my beloved husband. :-)

    Looks like we have resorted to Internet communication. LOL

    Hi Monika, great work. I’ve added your blog to my Do Follow Search Engine. Hope you get more visitors and heaps of insightful comments :)

    hmmm.. you should fix up your css so that the links show up a different colour so readers can see them.

    Here’s the url to my search engine again

    Karthik,

    I thought somebody might get confused, that’s why I added the little byline. :-)

    Jerry,

    Thanks for pointing out the style sheet thing. I just changed the links and it looks already more user friendly. Plus I learned something new.

    Thanks for both of your nice comments. :-)

    Hello Monika,

    This is the first time I have visited your site. I found you via http://webwhiting.stumbleupon.com. On my blog there was a guy from Singapore that gave you a good review and I figured I would stumble upon you (pardon the pun) and see what you are all about. I like what I have read and will add you to my blogs and sites.

    I have two questions, the first is Where did you get your blogger gig from and where did you get the personal assistant gig from? I like the fact that you give a monthly overview of the money made through the internet because I was becoming despondent until I stumbled upon your blog today. So this thing is for real you can make money. I have been at this since May 07′ on a consistent basis and I started initially in September 06′.

    Now a note on PayPerPost I have not had much success with them. I submitted a site to them and they said it wasn’t old enough and didn’t have enough entries so I submitted another that I know has enough entries and is old enough and have not heard from them since.

    Arlene: I’m glad you stopped by and I try to answer your questions for you,

    1) My Pro-blogging gig was really a lucky find. I happened to stumble (here we go again) upon his site by chance when he was looking for a Pro-blogger. I saw the ad some 3 weeks late and applied on the off chance that the job was still available.

    And guess what, it was! :-) It was really one of those things that happen for whatever reason and I’m still going strong with that.

    2) My personal assistant job was found on ScriptLance. I applied for the job being different than anybody else and that got me employed. (The guy later told me that) I loved doing the research for niches and putting together web pages for this guy but eventually I had to pull the plug on him because he underpaid me big time. (Problem with many ScriptLance job offers BTW)

    It was great to get started, but when work started to flow in on a regular basis I couldn’t do it anymore. Unfortunately he couldn’t raise the pay so that was it.

    3) Yes, PayPerPost only accepts blogs that are 3 month old and frequently posted to. I have accounts with all these get paid to review sites but now since the Google Page Rank issue surfaced with do follow and nofollow I keep my hands of them.

    I value my PR too much and have to miss out on some sure fire income. But I fell better for it anyway.

    So my tip to you Arlene is to keep your hands of PPP and similar services if you have a site that has PR. Othewise go for it if you don’t worry about it and get the chance.

    Also thanks for promoting my ebook for me.:-)
