Spice up Your Blog with Pictures

As a blogger we need to make our blog attractive enough for others to read. If our readers don’t get valuable content for them, they won’t come back for more. I have found that by using images it not only spices up my blog but it also often helps to convey my message. When searching for images I always try to use them as a secondary message. Kind of like a metaphor if you like.

With the multitude of images available from the Internet it isn’t hard to find something that is suitable. Many services charge for downloading images to the rate of around $1 per image. The best amongst them is probably iStockPhoto. They have so much choice that it would probably be enough for the rest of our lives.

At present I prefer to use free images and with the quality available I don’t see the point of having to pay for them just yet. On researching the subject I came across a few interesting sites that might be of value to you. The following sites all offer free photo downloads but you’ll need to check their licenses to make sure you stay within legal boundaries.

I think those sites will keep you busy for a while. If you want to stand out with your blog my advice would be to use images. In the end, it is up to you and whether you feel it is right or not.
