Group Writing Project – The Winners Announced!

Finally the day has arrived that some of you have waited for. I have been busy collecting all the votes of my Tutorial Group Writing Project this month. Voting by the contenders has stopped on the 27th and out of the 22 entries 12 have posted their votes. I have stumbled and promoted every single one of your entries as a thank you for taking the time to participate. And therefore I’d like to take this opportunity to say a heart felt thank you to every one of you.

It was the first project and competition I have personally sponsored and I can only vouch to anybody on how great it is connecting with other bloggers like this.

The entries were all very good and I’m particularly excited to see some that help me understand certain things a bit more clearly. You guys all rock!

I used a points system to allow me to clearly see the winner and combined with the amount of votes the top 3 got, it made the following result very clear. For those interest about the points, I assigned them like this.

1. top vote = 30 points

2. second vote = 20 points

2. third vote = 10 points

Here are the top 3 Winners:

1st place: Sarah over at BlueJar got 6 votes with a total of 150 points.

Sarah will win $50 paid with PayPal! Congratulations Sarah and please contact me so I can pay you ASAP.

2nd place: CSS  from Here to Create got 4 votes with a total of 80 points. Well done!

CSS won a 1 month spot on my "featured" section. This will hopefully send some traffic your way.The link to your site will go up for the month of November starting on the 1st.

3rd place: David Rogers from Confident 1 got 4 votes with a total of 50 points.

David will get a personal review written by me. David please contact me for the keywords you would like me to use.

As a honorary mention, Em Dy snapped 4th place with 50 points but 3 votes.

To everybody else, thank you once again. It was great meeting new bloggers and many of you have book marked by me, so I can read all the tutorials in good time.

Monika

Before I forget: I already have a new contest going starting on the 1st of November. It is open to everyone and will be announced here on

Great to hear – congratulations to the winners!
The reason I so appreciate GWPs is that every participant ends up winning something – new readers, links and more exposure!

Thanks again Monika, for organizing it – looking forward to your next competition!

CSS: it’s a pleasure, you deserved it as voted by those who did. ;-)

Sumesh: no worries, you might like my next competition. It will be a bit different but hopefully fun for those involved.

Em Dy: you seem to have the best sniffer for talent. :-) Thanks for this and you are very much welcome.

Megan: thank you, yes it was a lot of fun and I’m happy that it was well received.

Karthik: this is so true you know, that is what attracted me to GWP in the first place as it is a winner for all involved. ;-)

Keith: thank you for the good wishes. Sarah blazed everybody away and since we can all benefit from getting more comments it is an interesting tutorial for all bloggers. Wonder where she is, haven’t seen much of her lately? ;-(

David: hey, no need to be scared, I don’t bite my friend. Hehe…maybe I should, we’ll just have to wait and see. ;-)
    Thanks guys
    Monika
