It’s Not What You Know - But Who You Know

Posted by Monika in Freelance Writing-Bl... | 11.29.2007 - 11:15 pm

I’ve always believed this statement to be somewhat true and after being online for 3.5 years, I know for sure. This was different when I was a kid, my parents used to drill into me to be a good student with top grades which evidently put me to the top of my class during my schooling career (who was I to argue with my parents).

With the same mind set I climbed the ladders of my chosen vocation and managed to work in some top restaurants and hotels in the world. For those who live in Europe, two Michelin stars and 19 Gault Millaut points is what I managed to work with. Not bad, but worth “jack shit” once you change your career.

The Future Is Coming Fast!

Posted by Monika in Freelance Writing-Bl... | 11.27.2007 - 3:17 pm

I thought that writing about our goals for next year would be a good thing as it might help some of you to get organized early enough. One thing I have learned during my MLM stint is that we need to plan goals and monitor them at all times.

And while for this blog I had certain goals which I have attained so far, I can still improve on this by being more specific. I realize that if I’m not specific enough, then things will only turn out fuzzy.

Awaken The Writer Inside!

Posted by Monika in Freelance Writing-Bl... | 11.25.2007 - 12:58 am

I’ve been asked by a couple of readers to write a blog post about how to improve your writing. As a pro-blogger and freelance writer this was the very first point of attack I had to tackle in order to further my new online career.

What many aspiring writers seem to forget is that there isn’t some complicated secret recipe to be a good writer.

It simply boils down to experience and daily exercise. Gary Halbert said “the key to writing is writing”.

Interview With Santa Claus

Posted by Monika in Freelance Writing-Bl... | 11.23.2007 - 4:07 pm

It is with great honor to announce that I have scored an interview with Santa Claus. It took me many month of hard work, chasing and stalking the guy and finally he agreed to answer my questions.

Probably to make me shut up once and for all!

For those who don’t know him, he used to be stuck in a corporate job. But then life threw him some lessons and he decided to get out.

Blog Discoveries Link Juice

Posted by Monika in Freelance Writing-Bl... | 11.22.2007 - 8:24 pm

Every now and then we stumble across new blogs we have never seen before. I love discovering new bloggers and my reader is therefore getting busier every day. Today alone I spent 3.5 hours on reading and commenting on blogs. I see it as an enrichment of my knowledge helping me to become better on what I do.

The following bloggers have stood out to me this week, because they are relatively new to me and because I liked what I saw.

Find The Latest You Tube Videos Secret Tip!

Posted by Monika in Freelance Writing-Bl... | 11.21.2007 - 7:18 pm

You Tube has been rocking the video world for a little while now and it isn’t looking to slow down quickly. It is obvious judging by their success, that many people spend a lot of time on You Tube.

Whether it be for learning, fun or even uploading their own creations, it doesn’t matter and even though it is fun whiling away on You Tube, it can also become very time consuming.

Have Bloggers Become Social Media Abusers?

Posted by Monika in Freelance Writing-Bl... | 11.19.2007 - 4:53 pm

Lets face it, social media is very big amongst bloggers in the make money industry. I’m not saying that other bloggers don’t use social media. They are probably better users to be honest and I’ll explain why I think so.

Do You Join Social Media Sites for their Traffic Potential?

If you do, then the chances are very high that you fall into the category of social media abuser. Primarily social media is about connecting with others and not to self promote your content.
