It is with great honor to announce that I have scored an interview with Santa Claus. It took me many month of hard work, chasing and stalking the guy and finally he agreed to answer my questions.
Probably to make me shut up once and for all!
For those who don’t know him, he used to be stuck in a corporate job. But then life threw him some lessons and he decided to get out.
He has since risen to worldwide fame and has many followers. Most people know him as the man in red and kids simply love him. When I was little I had to say rimes to Santa to get my sweets and if I was naughty he would gently spank me with his reed rod.
A lot has happened since, for instance I’m a grown woman know and nobody is allowed to spank me anymore. Not even Santa. I moved away from my neck of the woods and have therefore totally lost track of him.
With the upcoming holiday season I felt a bit reminiscent of old times and thought it might be a great idea to suss Santa out a little more.
It wasn’t easy to track him down in the deepest woods of Finland, but I did and here is what he had to say.
Me: Hi Santa Claus, thank you for giving me this chance to interview you, it is an honor to speak with you one on one.
Santa Claus: Hohoho…
Me: Em errr… would you mind sharing a bit of background info about yourself. How did you get to be Santa and what got you started?
Santa Claus: Well, I wanted out from my old life and the constrictions of it. I had always dreamed of something better and what could be possibly better than having all sorts of people sitting on my knee all day… and then there is always the spanking bit….
Me: (coughs) arrrgh, yes, I do vaguely remember you spanking me too
Santa Claus: Hehehehe….
Me: So tell me Santa, why do you always wear that red gear? It must be rather uncomfortable to be stuck in that suit all day. We won’t even mention the beard. Thank god you live in the colder regions of this world.
Santa Claus: Good question and one I have thought about before, long and hard. But then I realized it all came down to branding. You have to brand yourself to get people sitting on your knee or send you long personal letters.
Me: Right, got ya. Do you still ask kids to speak rimes to you to receive their sweets?
Santa Claus: Hohoho…you bet sweetie pie. You can speak rimes to me any day. I promise not to spank you.
Me: (blushes) Right, let’s change the subject here. Is there a chance that my readers will get some sweets from you, if they write some rimes in the comments section?
Santa Claus: (mumbles) well…. I don’t do sweets anymore. That’s now the job of my assistants. I’m far too busy with giving interviews and having others sitting on my knee. Tell you what, if your readers are ever up in my neck of the woods, then they will get exclusive rights to do this.
Me: Great Santa, might be an option for some. Anyway, have you got any words of wisdom you’d like to share before we wrap this up?
Santa Claus: Don’t be afraid of changes (see what I have achieved) and always expect the best! And have a merry merry silly season.
Me: Thank you Santa Claus, that was very generous of you. I know you are a very busy man so I won’t keep you any longer. Your words of wisdom might inspire some of my readers to visit you one day. Take care….

I leave messages all the time but your filter seems determined to toss me in the rubbish (maybe it’s right) but I thought I would try once again.
I don’t want to start an international incident here but I think this needs to be clarified:
Santa is Canadian!
If you caught up with him in Finland then he must have been on a vacation down in the tropics.
Nothing against the Fins - they do produce some great hockey players but there is no way Santa could live in such a warm place! Heck does it even get colder than -30 C there???
We northerners start removing clothing when it gets that mild out.
Just wanted to set the record straight!
