Finally – The Niches Are Rolling

Ok, I haven’t fallen from the face of the earth and I also haven’t been considering selling my blog. I took out some time to reflect on what I’m doing here on this blog and whether a slight change of tactics is appropriate for me at this stage.

But besides reflecting, I have actually been very busy and decided build a niche blog. I got busy buying pre-owned domains and whilst snapping up some beauties I had to wait for them to be transferred. This being mostly done now allows me to start building those niches while still writing for my clients.

The first niche I managed to build (within 2 hours) was on blogger and is still receiving unique visitors every day despite the fact that I didn’t update the blog since before Xmas. I’m nearing 10,000 unique visitors in under 1 month and this has given me the kick I needed to finally get serious with my niche marketing.

What this meant on the bottom line, is even more writing for me, so my blogs had to suffer in the meantime. I was also very busy writing for existing as well as new clients which left little room to spread myself further. Sometimes we have to make business decisions in regards to what is most important.

So were to next? Frankly, I’m wanting the change the tack of this blog slightly and focus more on freelance writing to reflect my journey as a writer and help those who want to earn money as a freelance writer. This doesn’t mean that all I will blab about is freelancing, but I’m trying to turn this blog in a new direction.

Kind of driving on the highway and then discovering a beautiful country lane.

But to do this effectively I need your help.

I want to tackle the term “freelance writing” with my blog to have a chance at ranking decently in the search engines.
