If you look at it from their perspective, haven't they put years of their income towards your growth and development? Since birth till whenever you became independent, you relied on your parents for...almost everything. And yet you begrudge giving them a few weeks of income. What irony... When I wrote this it felt like I had been to therapy, even though I have never been to theeapy in life and don't intend to go either. It's just that it helped to let of steam and put my own thoughts into a more clear picture, I'm glad I did too. With me there were several years I just didn't to my family while pursuing my dreams. I moved to Alaska (although I do like the Australia move :) ) and once my parents realized I would choose my dreams and my own life without them over them and being torn down all the time, eventually they started trying to reach out and understand things from my point of view.
