Inspiration Strikes In Many Places
I don’t know about you guys, but I love to be inspired. I also thrive on helping to inspire others and nothing makes me as happy than hearing that I helped to make a difference in somebody else’s life. The little things that give us hope can mean a world of difference to somebody else.
But if you do what you love, then the underpants (and ice cream) will follow. If on the other hand you are a secret rebel and forgot to take your meds you might be inspired and calmed with Daniel’s work of art, listing all the entries in the Copyblogger Twitter competition.
If all those posts didn’t get you inspired yet, you might need to learn on how you can be addicted to writing instead. Once you found your addiction it is easy to plan a month’s worth of blog posts in 30 minutes flat to keep the flow.
Inspiration is the key to everything we do in life. Without it we would simple be the walking death. If you are afraid of freelance writing failures, then use Chris’s tips to help you cope.
You can also be inspired by working with other writers when the need arises. If that doesn’t work for you, then simply unplug for peace.

Now that’s a nicely done links post, Monika. Thanks for including me. I’m intrigued by the underpants and ice cream combo, so I’ll check that post out.

Monika,
This is a nice little story you’ve written (and thanks for including me in it!)
I have to get busy and write mine as well
Now, that picture… wow, I want to go see that place.

Monika,
I just got home late last night and I am trying to catch up! What’s harder than unplugging for peace is plugging back in to 700 e-mails! Aghhh!
Thanks for the link and what a very nicely done article. I will be checking them out as soon as I am back up and running.
Laundry to do first!

Hi Monika
I love reading other people’s blogs and taking part in the discussion and comments. This is half the fun of blogging.
But (ironically) this rarely inspires my writing.
I find I get my best inspiration while totally unplugged, like when I’m sitting in a canoe, or going on a long hike. Or even during a mundane task like cutting the grass.
That’s when the best ideas pop into my head…POOF!…just like that. And my posts will have little to do with the Blogs I’ve just read.
(Except when I read too many “serious” blogs..then that inspires me to be a sh*t disturber and write something really STOOPID)

What a fantastic post idea! Thanks for including my article.
I too find inspiration in all sorts of places, online and off.
There aren’t many blogs on living well with IBD chronic illness (though there are a few good ones) so I don’t really get ideas from other writers in my area.
Instead I read about other artists and the creative life (I am also a photographer and love visual inspiration), people who live and work with passion, new technology and medical research. And of course I write about my experience and about others I know with IBD.
The best part is when you feed your mind seemingly unrelated information and concepts, then when you least expect it, your mind creates connections and (as Friar says) POOF you have a new idea or angle to explore.
In fact this post just might inspire me to do an inspiration post of my own! Hope you don’t mind Monika

Wow! So, many good and interesting links in one post!
I now have so many browser tabs open it’s ridiculous!
And so much inspiration too.
Thanks:)

@ Sharon: You will like it, I promise. Brett has some very interesting ideas and always manages to attract a lot of comments.
Monika | May 30, 2008 | Reply
@ Brett: No worries, you are welcome. I was intrigued by your underwear post and couldn’t help myself to link to it.
Monika | May 30, 2008 | Reply
@ Wendi: welcome back to the real world. LOL. I know though what you mean. One negative of switching off is coming back to the extensive workload. Oh dear, I do feel for you right now.
Monika | May 30, 2008 | Reply
@ Friar: yeah, I get you and I’m the same too. I guess I get inspired both by other people and by chilling out. Either way, ideas often come unexpected and it is in the moments of total relaxation (like you) when killer ideas strike the most (even if I read another post).
As long as I’m relaxed it works.
Now you being a shit stirrer kind of like strikes me as unreal. Really! Oh my, I hope I never get too serious then otherwise I will feel the force of Friar.

@ Rebecca: no, you go right ahead. I don’t mind at all and am glad to have been of service in some ways. I think it is awesome that you write about your experience in what you do and why. I find that bloggers who speak from their heart are a lot more human than those trying to push their latest affiliate product onto others.
To me, blogging is about sharing your life, your experience and having fun. I think we all manage to do this just nicely too with the great community we have.

@ Zania: LOL, my bad. I’m glad though you like all you see and hope you manage to work your way through the links alright.

Monika,
Thanks very much both for the link to my blog, and for sharing the others as well. I too now have a bevy of open tabs to attend to. First on the menu, Brett’s blog…

Hey Monika – that was really nice of you to link to me…. my blog seems to have fallen off Technorati’s and Alexa’s radars in the last few months… so if I come back, will need all the links
Mark and you have been really kind to me – THANK you both!
Monika | May 31, 2008 | Reply
@ Daniel: you are welcome. You deserved a mention for the hard work you put into that slide show. I’m sure you would have found some great new blogs to subscribe to now as well after working your way through the whole menu.
Monika | May 31, 2008 | Reply
@ Melissa: thank you. I’m trying to be creative as often as possible. It’s kind of fun too. Love weaving the links into a little story. Maybe this will become the next thing on the net.
I’ve got a name for it too. I call it blog story time.
Monika | May 31, 2008 | Reply
@ Friar: I’ll come and puncture your tires if you do. BTW, you are welcome to a beer here anytime.

@ Mark: thank you for the nice words. It is great to see you stopping by too. Yeah, I know that picture. Reminds me a little of my favorite yet to visit destination.
One day….:-)
Monika | May 31, 2008 | Reply
@ Pearl: you are certainly very welcome. You inspire me amongst my other friends and linking is the least i can do.
Don’t worry about your blog and the ranking. They are only numbers and stats. What you do comes from the heart and that is what really matters.
Take care

What a clever way to link. I’m just getting back into personal blogging. I’m still addicted to writing, but I’ve been (mainly) doing my writing all over the net.

@ Opal: Nice to see you stop by. I just read about your latest score, congrats to you for that. You rock!
