and it made me smile.
No offense taken on what you said,
so please don’t feel the need to be sad.
I thank you for the lovely azalea flower,
it will feel right at home in the next rain shower.
As for your dog, he is most welcome here,
I might even share with him my next beer.
Or else we take a walk on the beach together
and gaze into the setting sun forever.

Just want to say up front that the following poem is NOT my real opinion, just something that happens to rhyme!

There once was a freelancer down under
Everyone called her the girl wonder
Then she wasted our time
With a ridiculous rhyme
That became a terrible blunder

Sorry it’s negative, but it just worked out that way! Let me try a positive but less catchy one:

There once was a gal in Australia
I wanted to send her an azalea
She has a great blog
And I’d give her my dog
But never drug paraphernalia

Great poem Monika, nice to hear something new from you.I like the poem. It’s great to come up with such a poem for only 15minutes. I can somehow imagine the scene seeing you building your thoughts together. It shows your never ending interest and dedication for your work. Good job…

Hi Monika,

That’s a pretty neat idea. Cathryn and I often try to make up song lyrics about whatever is happening at the moment, to some popular song. Sort of like rapping but without the rap, I suppose. I guess it’s kind of the same idea – like improv in many ways.

(As I was reading your poem, just for fun, I put it to an Eminem song, and it fit pretty well… MC Monika is in da house!)
