I downloaded the demo and it seemed to install well enough. When I ran it, I was asked for a registration code (which I didn't have) and they did not give me a demo code. One thing to consider - the version of wine that is in the standard Ubuntu software repositories is out of date, so it is best to get the latest version from http://winehq.org/download/deb just follow the instructions here and you'll be good to go. Also, I noticed there is an online version of WhiteSmoke which is how they support Mac users at http://www.whitesmoke.com/mac/ so maybe you could try that. Not optimal, I know, but worth a shot maybe. @Monika,
