Success Principles As Seen By My Readers
Success is paramount for any business owner. While many of us chase the holy grail of success some, or most sadly will deviate from their journey at some stages. While success can actually mean many things for each individual, most people associate the word with becoming financially successful.
Perhaps we see it this way because we see money as a means to acquire anything we ever want. While money certainly does help to feel successful in some ways, it isn’t the only way to measure success at all. Far from it actually.
Attaining success could be:
- overcoming a long and hard illness
- mastering our fears
- following and realizing a long held dream
- mastering the concept of living in the now
- helping those less fortunate to overcome their hurdles
- living by the laws of the universe
- being truly happy
As you know, success is also in the heart of you. Regardless of whether others see us as being successful or not, what really matters is that you do with all your heart.
I am successful. I have been blessed with a soul that helps me to understand the many whys of my life while discovering new ones all the time. I consider myself to be on an exhilarating success journey and am excited about every corner I round, every new branch I discover and the people I meet along the way.
Most of my success has been made possible by my belief system and the way I am willing to learn every day. A recent soul reading with Akemi Gaines opened my eyes even more to the possibilities that are open to me in this lifetime.
Many of you are my friends who I deem to be my success journey buddies. Most of us strive for a better life, more freedom, more time and more happiness. We can all do this together by embracing each other in spirit and by sharing our strength.
As far as I’m concerned we all gain so much more by helping each other, rather than fighting. There truly is enough for each of us, all you have to do is grab the opportunities that present themselves each and every day.
Practice gratitude and soon enough you will see positive changes in the attitude of those around you. Anyway, enough of the success talk, I open the floor to all of you and what you have to say about success.

I also wanted to let you know, although some of these links are not success related, they still are successful in their own ways, plus they do deserve a link too since many of you are regular readers.
Also, these are only links from the comments since the beginning of this month. I think to do a link post like Cath’s, I would take me about 1 month alone. LOL. God knows how many hours she slaved away to post hers. It took me about 2.5 hours. Phew….
So, this is a simple thank you for staying with me while I’ve hardly had time to visit any of your blogs. If it is a little consolation though, I am subscribed to pretty much all of you, except the newer guys which of course I have to do now.

Hey, thanks!
I am honored to be included in this list and will promptly check out some of these blogs (I am familiar with most of them, but not all).

Thanks for the link love, Monika. I’m glad you chose ‘The Power of a Kind and Generous Soul’ as it’s one of my favourites. I subscribe to many of these blogs and there’s some great articles here, but there are still some more I haven’t read yet, so thanks for the links.
Have a good weekend.

Monika,
What a great way to thank commenters and introduce all of us to some excellent blogs and outstanding posts. I can see it will take some time to get through all of these, as there are quite a few new to me. Thanks for including me.

Monika, thank you for including my site in your excellent list.
I used to also think money equated success, but as my financial success has grown, I’ve realized it’s the freedom I’ve gained that really makes me happy.
I love being able to call the shots and answering to no one. There are people who make lots more than I do, but I don’t think anyone has more freedom than I do, and I cherish it dearly.

Hi Monika
Thanks for the link love!
It’s funny, my “Inspirational Quotes” is my most viewed post. It steadily gets more views every week. I guess there are a lot of readers who stumble upon it via searching for the key words…
But I suspect a lot of them will be disappointed when they scroll further down, where I admit I made up this quotes off the top of my head! I was just having fun with the whole thing.
I re-iterate: Ain’t I a STINKER?
Heheheh.

Monika: I am totally honoured to be mentioned here. Thank you very much! And thank you for such a list. I’ve read some of the ones you mentioned, but it’s great to be able to check out more. Putting time and effort in as you did is not only kind and generous but also reflective of the kind of person you are in terms of sticking with something as well as what your work ethic as a writer might be like (not least detail oriented and not afraid of research!).
Shoot, and I just realized how that made James sound above. So let me say here with all sincerity that his not doing a list, as he mentioned, is only a reflection of his success: he and Harry are the busiest online bloggers I have ever met, and rather than show their love with lists, they contact you personally, as many times as is possible in a day. It’s amazing.
Again, thank you. And I have been meaning to say for some time now: I love this blog and the look of it as well!

As you’ve said, success is made up from many things, whether it’s reaching financial goals, being a successful writer, or successfully reaching personal goals such as learning how to be assertive or getting out of an abusive relationship.
I’ve never heard of the Akemi readings, so that was interesting to learn about. Thanks for the linky love Monika, it’s much appreciated.

Hi Monika – What an inspiring post. And I’m glad that you mentioned that success isn’t all about money. I used to think it was – it took me down the wrong path and it didn’t make me happy.
And thanks for the links. What a brilliant idea to bring together posts related to success. I’m looking forward to checking out the other ones.
I’m glad your soul reading went well – it really is an amazing service.

Thank you for mentioning my soul reading (Akashic Record Reading) service. I’m honored to be of service to you.
Each of us are on our own unique path of evolution. It’s tempting to compare ourselves with others — and don’t we know it only brings stress, not the energy for success. . .
The clearing work will bring even more clarity and positive energies to you.

Monika..
Really great post!
I use to be of the mindset that money was the overiding factor behind “Success”..
I would like to add.. that was a long time ago..
Today I know that success for me is more of a “by-product” of how I live my (every area) life!
It comes from a willingness to work with and help others. We all have our unique gifts and we can leverage those gifts by “embracing each other in spirit and by sharing our strengths”.
Thank You for including me in your highly esteemed list. You real go above and beyond the norm in the blogosphere with this post…

Monika,
Thank you for mentioning my blog.
I actually think that most people I meet are more intrigued by the freedom I have in my life than the money I make. A six-figure salary in Seattle isn’t all that uncommon, but there aren’t many people who can work from anywhere in the world (with wifi) and only have to put in an hour or two a day to make a living.
In the beginning, I was focused on making money, and was probably one of those folks who equated material riches with success, but I’ve since learned that what most people want is the freedom they think only money can buy.
The truth is you don’t have to be a millionaire to live like one. And not having to answer to anyone else is a lot better than fancy cars and mansions.

@ Lindsay: I know exactly what you mean by the freedom bit. This is why i work my butt off to eventually indulge into my own freedom dream.
While I do have a certain type of freedom, ultimately I want even more. I dream of working a few hours in the early mornings and then enjoy my days traveling and living life. This is the ultimate.
I’m happy to say it is a step by step process (as you would know for sure) and it’s moving along very well.

@ Lin: Success is getting up each day! Each of us has success in our lives. If you think you don’t, ask yourself: can I walk, can I see, can I breathe, can I smile, can I….
…. success is not a measure in which other people see us, it is what we do to overcome our fears.

@ Cath: Hey, it was you that kicked me in the ahem…behind. I wanted to do a link post like yours for ages (although not as long I guess), but then when I saw yours while I compiled mine I had to change tack and approach it from a slight different perspective. Since we can all benefit from positive thinking I found success to be a suitable alternative.
As for my soul reading. It was amazing, powerful, freaky (in the sense of what Akemi knew about me), empowering, illuminating and very much what I needed right now.
Thanks to you I did this. You don’t know what you have done, but all I can say is THANK YOU.

@ Lindsay: I know I answered your comment further up too, but I just had to reply to this one as well.
You know, I always wanted fancy cars, houses in dozens of locations worldwide and all the luxe that comes with having tons of money.
That was until about 6 months ago. Now, I still want plenty of money, but for reasons other than buying those cars and houses.
I actually just bought myself a new domain to manifest my future. It’s called the writingnomad.com
and will be my blank canvas to journal the time until my husband and I leave our house, kitted out with a custom built caravan, armed with my laptop and hopefully a reliable Internet connection.
The caravan will become our new home and we will live life as it is meant to be in the first place. Naturally at this stage it is still years away (1-2), but planning is half the excitement and the blog will help with that.
