Your Link Diet As Ordered By The Doctor
Since many of you like to keep up with what’s happening around the blogosphere I went in search of some link diet.
Alex Fayle is pursuing happiness and what better way to find out than by talking to the happiness queen herself Gretchen Rubin of the Happiness Project. We can all do with a little more happiness for sure.
Lindsay has a good tip for all of you looking to make money online. His tip: don’t focus on making money, focus on solving problems is spot on.
Writer Dad had an amazing start to his blogging endeavours and is already garnering much respect and a steady following on his blog in a very short time. His passion and ability for great writing clearly shows and it is exactly this combination that allows him to give a big sloppy thanks to his readers.
Lillie was kind enough to link to me in her latest meme. She even asked her readers to name this meme. I have to say, it is different from what I have seen so far and quite funny. If it wasn’t for the fact that I just participated in a meme while getting sucked into the lion’s lair, I might have been tempted.
If you are desperate for a life change, then you might feel right at home with Brett’s latest Viking post everything you always wanted to know about life change.
Friar’s Olympic random thoughts are a dead set cracker as usual. I swear Friar and I got separated at birth, although he is so much more funny than me. Because he is so damn funny he is even forgiven for not having a subscribe to comments feature.
Rita has declared war on eBay and she started her eBay boycott yesterday. While I’m not sharing her views on the issues she rises, I can still send her some traffic. Plus, despite our different view point she still rocks in my eyes!
Right, I guess this will keep you busy for a while. I’ll be back tomorrow with some more interesting content.

@Monika
Once again, thanks for the Link Love!
(Wow…you wrote about this pretty quickly, I only issued this post less than 12 hours ago!)
I didn’t even know you can “subcribe to comments”. Kelly also mentionned something about fixing the subscribing options.
I’m quasi-computer illiterate. I only learn the things I need to know. (I’ll have to look into subscritpion thing, with Brett’s help, over a few pints).

Thanks for the Link Love Monika! I was super-excited when Gretchen agreed to do the interview.

Hey! That link love was even tastier than the coffee I was drinking.
In all seriousness, that paragraph really made my morning. Thank you, Monika.

Monika,
SO LIKE YOU – devote YOUR blog to the health of other’s blogs. Could I appreciate you even more than I already did? I didn’t think so…but I’m the first to admit a mistake. YOU rock, sister. Thank you!

Hi Monika. The fabulous 7. Thanks doc, I’ll take a link and keep ya posted.

Hi Monika – You’ve linked to some great stories. I’ve boycotted the Olympics but Friar’s article was hilarious.
I can’t join Rita’s boycott either. I have stuff to sell on ebay right now and I really need the cash.

Thanks for the suggested reading material (not that I need anymore though, but that’s beside the point!). I’ve actually been meaning to check out Writer Dad as I’ve seen his name around so you’ve just given me another reminder.

Friar,
We’ll have to get you on a hosted service for that one. I think you could probably do that now, you’ve been at this a while and you’ve got your community – I think it’s time to jump.
I can give you a bit of a hand, and if we get stuck we can ask for help

Monika,
Thank you for the pingback my friend, and as always a fun post with a neat picture (that looks like a dinner I was served once in Splat Creek, believe it or not).
Like Kelly, your link love got me over to check out Writer Dad more closely, and guess what – Writer Dad has a new subscriber (awesome stuff, Writer Dad – I’d commented there once about a week ago, but now you’re in my feed).
I would have commented here earlier, but we had a “stay in” at The Factory… hard to explain, but you’ve got air-raid sirens blaring, and we’re not supposed to email or surf or use the phone…

@ Friar: You know, I got inspired by Buzz. He goes to infinity and beyond in a couple of minutes, so 12 hours is ample of time.
The fixing of your comment feature is only possible with a self hosted domain. Unless you want the monthly expense, it might not be a viable solution. However, if you do, I might be able to help you.
Let me know if you are interested and I will tell you what I have in mind.

@ Alex: You are welcome. Gretchen certainly has a thing for happiness. I’ve been to her site before a few times. I do like how she puts it all into a project rather than just decide on the spur of the moment.
Will be good to see the outcome.

@ Writer Dad: Cool, that makes me happy too. I know how much you love your coffee. And I meant every word of it as well.
You have this uncanny sense of perception in your writing and it really shows. Keep on rocking the blogosphere.

@ Rita: “The pleasure was all mine.”
I love that classic Bond line. Ok, it puts me in the mindless action movie league (at least with Bond). But I think I’ve already admitted this to Friar anyway and I still live. Hehehehe…..

@ Davina: Oh, I LOVE your comment. So witty! Good on ya for taking the doctors medicine. A smart woman indeed.

@ Cath: It’s funny you said that about the Olympics. I too boycotted them. I even missed the “best opening ceremony ever” as they say.
I think it was actually one of you guys who alerted my conscience to the fact that the Olympics are just a commercial product to funnel money, while letting people in respective countries still suffer.
While I kind of knew this already, it never fully hit home until I read that comment or post (sorry, I can’t remember who said it).

@ Kelly: Hey, that is so great about our community. We can help each other remember things, even if it is unwillingly. I’m sure WD will appreciate your visit too.
Monika | Aug 20, 2008 | Reply
@ Brett: LOL, that factory of yours really is a very interesting place indeed. The things that are going on. Un-be-lie-vable!
Another new WD fan. Woohoo, we shall all congregate over there and crowd his house for a while. Maybe he will offer us some nibbles.
@ WD just make sure you have bikkies for Cath. She REALLY needs them so bad.

Hi Monika,
Thanks for mentioning my article! And it’s fun to see what else folks are writing about there too. I’ll have to check out the happiness blog for sure–sounds like a noble project.

@ Lindsay: Pleasure. Yes, the happiness project is interesting to see. I will be interested to see the results of the study.
