How To Carve Your Online Spot
The hardest part for new freelance writers on stage is to compete with existing, in-demand writers. At least that is what many new service providers seem to worry about. The good news is that anybody, yes even you can carve your own niche in the limelight. All you need to do this is to find your own unique selling point. I’ve written a post about the benefits of using a USP not so long ago. I suggest you visit that post and learn what this involves.
Before you can even think of claiming your spot on the Internet you need to be absolute certain about your strongest assets as a freelancer! If you are really good at SEO writing then make it your own. If on the other hand you prefer to pen poems or write fiction, then by all means claim that niche. Believe me, there is plenty of room on stage for all of us.
Some spots might be more illuminated than others, meaning some writers get more of the limelight and razzmatazz, but does it REALLY matter? Of course not! In fact, you can easily earn double the amount of income than the much-celebrated freelance writer next to you. Just because he or she is favored by others doesn’t mean they make the dosh they could be being quietly in the background – the not so bright spot on stage.
Instead of worrying about being recognized by millions worry about your diary, and how you can best fill it with paying jobs, each week. Did you notice that I didn’t write high paying jobs? That was done on purpose because you can make some great money with a mediocre pay if you learn how to leverage the numbers.
Attaining ultimate success in business is ALL about LEVERAGE! It’s a numbers game and it has much to do with the odds. Once you see the light in that last sentence you really drive your income levels to heights you never deemed possible. If you need more clarification on LEVERAGE, then you might like Barry Walls’ online course. He has recently launched a course for freelance writers helping them to increase their income in a short time span by using leverage in their business.
To finish off this post I want to stress to you that it isn’t important whether you carve a spot in the limelight at all. What IS important is your understanding of business metrics and how to work them to your own advantage. Once you learn this, nothing will stop you from achieving your wildest dreams!

Exactly! Some of the richest people are totally unknown.
I’m not famous, and I’m not particularly wealthy either, but I do pretty well.
(Okay, I’d rather be doing something else, but…)
Anyway, there’s a good chance that I make as much or more money than some of the famous online people. Fame need not play a part if you are smart.
