@George. You're still alive then? Never send a Lemur to do a man's job. I assume its head is on your wall next to the hamster's. Thanks very much for your kind comments, Tumblemoose. If you laugh when you write something, that's a pretty good sign. Re-read it a few times and, yes, you'll find it less and less funny. Just remember the first time. Get it out there! As the Dr Pepper (no relation) ad states: "What's the worst that could happen?"

@Chris. Thanks, mate. A dry sense of humour is what I like, as in, minus the exclamation marks. You should try yours out sometime. Believe me, there's plenty who find me irritating rather than humorous. (That is not an invitation to open the sewer gates on me.) Hey, put it out there; what harm can it do?

Hey Mark,

Good stuff about humor all right. It can be tough to pull off when writing online 'cause folks can't see body language, facial expressions and such. I've had times where I've written some ultra funny snarky comeback and then after reading it decided that hey, that doesn't sound funny - that sounds like I'm being a jerk!

As for you, yeah you got the funny thing going on. You got in line twice when they were passing out funny. Serious.

Okay, I admit it, I actually chuckled out loud. Good stuff. I think it's an important lesson here about injecting humor. I'm not sure I could pull it off myself, I tend to have a dry sense of humor and find myself laughing at something while everyone stares at me.

It's definitely a fine line to walk and I think certain people can pull it off (like yourself) while it will backfire on others (like me! *wink wink*).

Thank you so much, Monika. Hmmm, the sad thing about that letter is I sincerely thought it would help me. Here we see the power of words, hammering a final nail into the coffin of my acting career. Well done me.

@ Mark: I am once again cackling myself to a serious state of mental oblivion thanks to your latest piece of work. Dude, that letter of application for Hollywood stardom and the image are serious funny shit.

I don't know where you take it from but you would make one hell of a stand up comedian.

I love the way you injected your humour into this post because you said it like it is while making me smile all the way through. Great lesson, well served and just the right pinch of seasoning. You're a hoot alright, George was and is right! ;)
