I'm pleased to read that you're not running yourself into the ground anymore. And hopefully, on your next cruise, you won't have to take work with you. It's sad but a lot of folk who work alone, either online, or offline, don't even make a full-time wage because they won't employ anyone, or outsource work to other people. It’s sad but a lot of folk who work alone, either online, or offline, don’t even make a full-time wage because they won’t employ anyone, or outsource work to other people. They wind up spending the majority of their time on tasks that don’t even bring in any money.

Keep in mind that even as a writer you can outsource tons of other aspects of your business; link building, website creation, article submission, social networking, SEO are only a few. Even newcomers can outsource early on in their business if they are prepared to pay a little money from their profits. Finding people willing to work for a small fee is easier than you think these days and many of them are actually quite talented (especially if you approach the non-writing crowd.) @ Denise: Some people are simply not born to do “this Internet thing” and that’s perfectly fine. Outsourcing is the only way to grow your business. Unfortunately for the beginner usually they are flat broke when they turn to the internet for income so outsourcing is not an option. I am currently trying to employ my husband to do some of my writing for me since he is currently unemployed. I would love it if he would take over some of my sites and propel them to the next level.
