I don't think you should be home schooling anyone with foul words like "bugshit" in your vocabulary.

Mark,

Oy that picture just cracked me up - and scared me a little.

I've worked as a sub for the past few years and what an eye opener it is into our educational system in the US.

Enough to make me consider home schooling for my little one.

I won't go into all the details but the combo of unbelievable behavior from parents to a lack of organization and spoiled brat status of a lot of teachers just about drove me bugshit.

Again, an incredibly great article from you. I love seeing these things show up in my inbox

Hi Cath,

I think, where I used to live in the UK, such a comment may have been viewed as a significant breakthrough. I believe the child is now a full-time publicist for the KKK.

Yes, I suppose "and they all died permanently ever after" does ring the changes. And you look so sweet in your picture.

Lol - Shame on the teacher for not noticing that. It's pretty hard to miss though, so it does make you wonder what some teachers are encouraging kids to believe.

I wrote some pretty miserable stories when I was very young. They weren't malicious and they didn't promote hatred of any kind. I was just bored with "and they all lived happily ever after", so there were few happy endings. :)
