alices-2005-002.jpgMany online entrepreneurs start of small. Even more so fail in their first attempts to make money online. It is a phenomena that won’t go away in a hurry. My online journey hasn’t been much different. I tried and failed at so many things since starting out in 2004 and only now do I see some measure of success. The reason I started my own business are many fold, but mainly I wanted to get away from the claws of employment.

I am a fully qualified chef of over 22 years and have traveled the world working and simply chilling between jobs. It has been great and adventurous as well as full filling to engage in a creative art such as cooking. I have gained some accolades by working for some of the best restaurants in the UK and in Switzerland and Germany. By the time I hit 30 I migrated to my dream country Australia. It wasn’t easy but I know that it was well worth it. At that time I had become increasingly frustrated working in a highly stressful job and I was looking for some other answers. So I focused on a home based business.

After some hefty research I started in my first company in April 2004. It was a network marketing business and I loved my new business. Traveling the world on business and making new friends was exciting and awesome. Until about 2 years into doing it. I realized that I wasn’t getting anywhere and I started to question my motivation. After much soul searching and a brief stint with depression I knew that I had to change my life again, if I was to ever make it to success.

I came back in full force early 2007. I knew by then that I was a passionate blogger looking to make money following my calling. Naturally I discovered my love for writing. Especially about all things Internet related. I redesigned my blog, hosted it on my own domain and built my first website The Writers Manifesto

It was a winners combination. The site is aimed at newcomers on the Internet who want to make money with blogging and writing. The progression to this site is just a natural expansion of my first website. Within 2 month I started to see a massive improvement in my income. I made affiliate sales, earned money by blogging for 3rd party advertisers. I also moved into freelance writing and blogging and am currently under contract from a well known marketer in Asia. Life couldn’t be better for me as I really love what I’m doing now with a passion. My aim is to be financially independent in 1 year from now so I don’t have to do work as a chef anymore. Eventually I also want to free up my husband with whom I have been with for 17 years, from the constraints of a job. As of this posting (August 2007) I earn now around $500 USD per month. This figure will only increase as time moves on. This just confirms to me, that I am on the right track and things move in the direction I want them to.

I live on the beautiful coast of central Queensland in Australia with my husband and my two adored cockateels. I have made many friends since being in business by myself, both offline and online and making money has become fun, rather than a chore.

My aim is to help newcomers to understand the traps and pitfalls of starting out. And if my blogging, writing and tips can help just one person to make money, then I am achieving my intentions.

I thank you for your visit and wish you much Success

Hi Monika,
I acknowledge you for your online successes. You have done well! Like you, I decided to “hitch my wagon” to the internet. I’ve learned alot in the last 12 months, and am confident the next 24 months will see even more greater results.
Again, well done to you.
Jeff, Sydney
