Freelance Writing Blog Crawl - Round Three

Posted by Monika in Freelance Writing Bl... | 04.19.2008 - 12:10 am

Ok, after a week of pulling my hair I’m back to normal with blogging here on my Freelance Writing blog. I thought it a good idea to interrupt my Freelance Writing Guide for New Freelancers to give some of you a chance to catch up (and me too, LOL).

Therefore I want to feature some bloggers who have recently come on board as brand new bloggers, or else have either bought a blog or redesigned theirs. yes, we’ve got them all for you and I’m sure you’ll love what you see just as I did. I also want to help these guys get more exposure and would really appreciate it if you could go and give them a hand by commenting, stumbling or even subscribing to their feed.

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS Feed. Thanks for visiting! And please feel free to comment. Top commenter's will go into my weekly Link Love Pot

Freelance Writing Blog Crawl - Round Two

Posted by Monika in Freelance Writing Bl... | 03.08.2008 - 10:16 pm

During the last month I’ve had the privilege to meet some top people online that are slowly but truly becoming my new online friends. Most of them are also writing freelancers . They own top freelance websites. To this day I never stop to be amazed at how certain bloggers seem to know the difference between respect and blogger etiquette while others (who are well known, mind you) don’t.

I’m not sure what it is with these people. Maybe they think themselves more important than the rest of us mere mortals or they simply don’t care. But the last time I checked, it is common practice and respect for the other blogger to stop by and say thank you for the link when linked to in a post.

I haven’t done one of those in a while, so it is high time I do another round of link love to some great posts. Yesterdays post by Thom on the
3 tips to make working at home easier
was a great start to his guest blogging here at Freelance Writing. I certainly hope to get the benefit of his great writing some more in the future so please take some time and commend him for his great post.

First up this round is Many Karthik, he recently started his own name blog were he wants to indulge into his lighter side and blog about anything that comes mind.

Blog Discoveries Link Juice

Posted by Monika in Freelance Writing Bl... | 11.22.2007 - 8:24 pm

Every now and then we stumble across new blogs we have never seen before. I love discovering new bloggers and my reader is therefore getting busier every day. Today alone I spent 3.5 hours on reading and commenting on blogs. I see it as an enrichment of my knowledge helping me to become better on what I do.

The following bloggers have stood out to me this week, because they are relatively new to me and because I liked what I saw.

I can’t believe how quick this week has gone by. Besides blogging for Gobala Krishnan I have at present 2 other online jobs that pay me week by week. I also scored another project on a freelance site and it looks like I might be able to write for a well known blogger in the future too.

child-smelling-flowers.jpgBefore I head off into the heat of the kitchen I’m due for my linky dinky love thang. This has been another great week for me as I not only won $50 form Daily Blogging Tips, but got runner up position in Sarah’s writing project and I got discovered by an employer via my branded site. This resulted in an extremely busy week juggling all my existing writing assignments. But I managed just fine with long days and writing like mad. I simply love it and it surely beats standing on my feet for 12 hours straight without time for food or anything else.

Firstly I have to apologize for this post being late. I was off line yesterday as I was totally tired and beat. I worked 23 hours in my weekend J-O-B in two days and naturally I had no energy yesterday to even lift a finger. Therefore this post is well overdue. It has been a hectic week for me (as always) and besides blogging and freelancing 5 days a week, I also work weekends in my J-O-B. For those who don’t know, I’m a fully qualified chef of over 22 years and I’m so over it.

Time for another round of cyber hugs. I actually nearly forgot. I had to rush out the door this morning to go to work and only returned tonight. When I saw Heathers cyber hug I remembered that it was Saturday once again.

I have to admit that comments were a bit slow this week and therefore I choose to link to sites I really enjoy reading on a regular basis. These sites are listed below. I’m really impressed with these guys for one thing or another. Whether it is their fast rise in rankings, or their quality of posts, I find that these blogs really set themselves apart from the masses.
