Even though we are creating income by writing we need to market ourselves. If no one knows about our website, then we will not receive traffic. After all, we are in for the money right?! The great news is that you have an endless supply of free web promotion at your disposal. The bad news is - they need time input on your behalf.

So let's get into the meat of marketing your website for free:

Forums: Forums are not only a fantastic and easy way to drive traffic to your site. They also provide you with unlimited resources of targeted knowledge. If you want to learn about a specific topic, simply look up a forum that deals with this. Before you know it you will establish yourself as a leader by participating - learning - and applying the concepts.

Article Directories: Are simply that. They provide writers with a platform to submit our articles for free. What we get out of it is hopefully a ton of free traffic. The way this works is that you write a great article and submit it to those directories. They will then publish your article on the directory websites.
People who build web sites, ezines, blogs and more are always looking for fresh content. So they visit these directories to get free articles for their sites. The only way they are allowed use them, is to provide your aticle with a full resource box.
